[EVENT] PLATFORM + Sinnobator UK Launch (26 November 2024), Newcastle upon Tyne

Sinnobator‘ is a technology incubation & acceleration platform specialising in the IoT & advanced sensor industry. We (PLATFORM | UK Startup Week) were delighted to host the ‘Sinnobator UK Launch Event‘ in Newcastle upon Tyne on Tuesday 26 November (see agenda & LinkedIn post below):

  • 8.45am-9.30am – Meet & network with the Sinnobator team, partners, technologists & entrepreneurs
  • 9.30am-9.40am – Introduction from Paul Lancaster (PLATFORM | UK Startup Week)
  • 9.40am-10.30am – Hear Jia Ren (CEO & Chairman, Sinnobator) & Sen (‘Michael’) Yang (Project Lead, Sinnobator) explain how they will help UK businesses develop the skills they need to do business with & expand into China
  • 10.30am-11am – Hear from Sarah Nolan (Global Programme Manager, UK National Innovation Centre for Ageing), Claire Robinson (Relationships Manager, UK National Innovation Centre for Ageing / Internet of Caring Things) & Apoorva Jain (Human Experience Designer, UK National Innovation Centre for Ageing).
  • 11am-11.45am – Hear presentations from innovative tech, digital & IoT businesses in Newcastle / North East of England who are already doing business in China or plan to do so. These include:

    • Neil Herron (Founder & CEO, GRID Smarter Cities)

  • 11.45am-12pm – Hear Claire Rutherford (Director & Patent Attorney, Definition IP Limited) & Dan Mercer (Director & Patent Attorney, Definition IP Limited) share some tips & advice on how UK businesses can successfully do business in China, from clients who are already doing this
  • 12pm-12.30pm – Closing remarks & networking
