The North East of England’s economy needs more entrepreneurs to start & scale businesses. Right now, the region has 744 businesses for every 10,000 adults who live here but the average across England is 1,062.
This is why North East Entrepreneurship Week has been organised to showcase the entrepreneurs who are building great businesses from our region in order to inspire the next generation to follow in their footsteps.
Part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, North East Entrepreneurship Week is a region-wide programme of events & activities, brought together by our friends at the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, where entrepreneurs share real experience, founders make new connections & access practical support, schools meet local role models & partners from across the region come together with one simple aim: to show that the North East is a place where ambitious businesses can start, grow & rise.
Between 11-20 November, there are a range of flagship events, mentoring drop-in sessions, in-school talks, entrepreneurial awards & a host of fringe events taking place in locations across the North East of England (including our own PLATFORM (Newcastle) event on Friday 20 November).
