UK STARTUP & SCALEUP WEEK 2025
After a 5yr pandemic-induced hiatus, we’re bringing our UK Startup & Scaleup Week festival back in 2025 but this time in Sunderland (in the North East of England) between 2-6 June 2025!
UK Startup & Scaleup Week is a 5-day (& night), multi-venue, citywide festival that will inspire & educate you on how to start, grow & fund your business in Sunderland & the wider North East of England.
Our last Startup Week festival (in Newcastle) attracted 800+ delegates so we are aiming for 550 delegates in 2025 (this is the maximum seated capacity of The Fire Station theatre in Sunderland which will be the venue for Day 1 (‘INSPIRATION’) of UK Startup Week on Monday 2nd June 2025).

PREMIUM SPONSOR = £5,000
- Announced as a ‘Premium Sponsor’ across all our UK Startup & Scaleup Week, PLATFORM & personal social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube) which currently have just over 34,000 Followers / Subscribers & rising)
- These social media announcements would link back to a press release style blog located at https://ukstartupweek.com/blog/ which would in turn link back to your website.
- Your sponsorship would also be announced in an email newsletter which currently goes out to just over 1,000 active subscribers (linking back to the press release blog)
- Your logo would be added to the right hand side of all pages on this website (except the homepage). The logo would also link to the sponsorship announcement blog or directly to your website.
- At the 5-day ‘UK Startup & Scaleup Week’ festival in June 2025, you would have exhibition space in the foyer area at The Fire Station in Sunderland on Monday 2nd June, your logo would be included on screen during the event & you / one of your Directors / business leaders would be invited onstage to talk about your business / organisation.
- (Someone from your business could potentially also give a talk / presentation or take part in a panel discussion with some of the other sponsors on Day 1)
- You would also have the opportunity to exhibit, speak, host a panel discussion or workshop on the other 4 days listed above (depending on the most relevant for reaching your intended audience).
- The opportunity for you or one of your colleagues to take part in a LinkedIn Live video interview with us any time which would be broadcast simultaneously on LinkedIn, Twitter & Facebook for people to watch live or on replay. (The video would also then be uploaded to the UK Startup Week YouTube Channel & the audio uploaded to our ‘SuperConnector Show’ podcast which is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Audible, Spreaker & more). The one we did with Roan Lavery (CEO, FreeAgent) in June 2024 has had 1000+ views so far & rising.
- You would receive 5 x 5-day tickets / wristbands for our UK Startup & Scaleup Week festival to share amongst your team (or with partners / clients).
- Your sponsorship would also be announced at our monthly PLATFORM events & you would have the opportunity to give a presentation / talk at one of them in Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough or Edinburgh events. You or one of your senior leadership team could also take part in the ‘In Conversation With…’ fireside chat / interview at one of our PLATFORM events.
- We would also happily share / retweet your company updates on our social media channels & attend or take part in any events you organised if appropriate.

- 2 x 5-day tickets / wristbands for our UK Startup & Scaleup Week festival so you can host the stand & attend all of the other events taking place across the week.
PLATFORM
(Sunderland, Newcastle, Middlesbrough & Edinburgh)
Launched in January 2024, PLATFORM is our free, monthly event that takes place in Sunderland, Newcastle, Middlesbrough & Edinburgh.
PLATFORM events are the place to be if you want to be inspired, learn about the latest opportunities to start or grow your business in the North East of England, Teesside & Scotland, meet & connect with entrepreneurs, business owners, funders, investors, potential collaborators & more.
They are also a great way to raise your profile & promote your business, product or service to a captive audience of business owners, leaders & professionals (both in-person & online).
If you’d like to sponsor a PLATFORM event or serries of events in return for having a speaking slot & being promoted through all our marketing channels, this costs £750 per event.
